Althorp   [11 pictures]
Althorp, the resting place of Diana Princess of Wales, born 1st July 1961 died 31st August 1997, is situated in Northamptonshire. A beautiful, peaceful place to visit during July and August. Churches   [49 pictures]
When I first bought a digital camera I needed a subject on which to test it. As Leicestershire has some lovely old Parish churches, that was just the subject I needed.
Kirby Muxloe Castle   [13 pictures]
A brick built fortified manor house built in 1480, but never completely finished as Lord Hastings was executed in 1483. The keep and one of the towers remain. English Heritage, open Sat/Sun and Bank Holiday Mondays, April - October, 1 - 5.30p.m.
My pet dogs   [7 pictures]
Over the last 40 years my wife & I have never been without at least one dog in our household. Sometimes singly, sometimes in twos, we have had a total of seven dogs, and here they are (in alphabeticl order).

In recent years Newtown Linford, a village near to mine, has held a scarecrow competition. The ingenuity and quality of the entrants in recent years has been excellent, and here are just a few examples.

Situated in the East Midlands in the UK, the countryside around my home county of Leicestershire is very varied and beautiful. Here are just a few pictures of the many and varied scenery and activities to be found in the county.
